Our people are trained and specialize in the design, installation, configuration, integration and support of point-to-point (PTP) and point-to-multipoint (PMP) radio frequency (RF) & free space optic (FSO) wireless systems. We offer an ever changing selection of products, and pride ourselves with staying on top of the ever changing wireless landscape to make sure we can offer the most cost effective and reliable wireless systems available.
With hundreds of wireless terminals already installed, we offer a full suite of products and services aimed at meeting every customer’s needs for secure, LAN, voice and/or video connectivity. The wireless systems we offer can support a wide range of communication formats, bandwidths, and applications. We are factory certified by numerous manufacturers, and we have gone to great lengths to establish strategic partnerships with them as well as their distribution channel partners. These strategic partnerships result in faster than normal turn around on orders and typically better than average discounting on the wireless systems we offer.

FastLinks Offers A Wide Range Of Services To Develop Solutions
FastLinks Offers Support & Preventative Maintenance For Wireless Systems
We offer a wide range of professional services, such as feasibility, studies, system engineering, turn-key installation, as well as post installation maintenance. In addition, FastLinks provides nationwide coverage and can respond rapidly to meet its customer’s needs through our network of authorized installation and support partners.
Unlike most wireless system integrators, we begin any discussion with a prospective customer, with no pre-conceived ideas for a specific product. We will discuss each organizations requirements with them, and carefully identify and engage the necessary assets, as required. By understanding our customer’s needs before making any recommendations, we can typically offer numerous wireless options for establishing connectivity. Also, unlike most wireless integrators, we look to educate our customers. Educate them about the issues to be considered when designing a wireless connection such as the numerous options for providing connectivity, how to implement a scalable solution, and the best means for becoming self-reliant.
Wireless Network Products
Free Space Optics
FastLinks offers a wide range of free space optical (FSO) or infrared laser systems. These types of systems have a limited range (up to 2 miles) in comparison to radio systems, however are very secure and typically cost effective to implement over short distances (< 1/2 mile). Various communication formats are available, and bandwidths up to 10Gbps are attainable.
Manufacturers include: LightPointe & fSONA
Licensed PTP Radio
FastLinks offers a wide range of scalable, licensed microwave & millimeter radio systems in various industry standard communication formats, radio frequencies and capacities (up to 6.4Gbps). These frequency bands include 11GHz, 18GHz, 23GHz, & 70/80GHz (E-band). These types of solutions are typically implemented in scenarios when the end user is interested in attaining their own frequencies, allocated and licensed by the FCC, perhaps when the end user is concerned about interference from other wireless systems. It is important to note, that available licensed spectrum varies geographically. As part of our professional services offering, we can complete the FCC licensing process for you. FastLinks will assume complete reasonability for a complete frequency search and secure your licensed frequency allocation from the FCC for you!
Manufacturers include: Bridgewave Communications, Ceragon, DragonWave, Mimosa & SAIE
Unlicensed PTP Radio
FastLinks offers its customers radio systems that operate in the license-free portions of the FCC spectrum, some that require a clear line of sight and some that don’t. These frequency bands include 900MHz, 2.4GHz, 5.3GHz, 5.8GHz, 24GHz & 60GHz and bandwidths up to 1.25Gbps are attainable. These types of systems are typically less expensive then the equivalent licensed radios and are ideal for deployment in areas less prone to interference.
Manufacturers include: Bridgewave Communications, Cambrium Networks, Lightpointe, Proxim, RADWIN, Siklu & Ubiquiti
These types of broadband wireless systems typically combine a FSO system w/ a RF one, to provide increased capacity, with auto-failover between the two. With this type of solution, our customers have the peace of mind knowing that they have a cost effective, high capacity connection, with an alternative medium backup.
Unlicensed PMP Radio
FastLinks offers its customers a wide range of radio systems that operate in the license-free portions of the spectrum, some that require a clear line of sight and some that don’t. These frequency bands include 900MHz, 2.4GHz, 5.3GHz, 5.8GHz.
Wi-Fi/WLAN Outdoor Wireless
FastLinks offers its customers a wide range ruggedized; dual band (2.4 & 5 GHz) access points (APs) that’ll work with smart phones, tablets, etc.
Wi-Fi/WLAN/In-Building Wireless (IBW)
FastLinks offers its customers a wide range dual band (2.4 & 5 GHz) access points (APs) that’ll work with smart phones, tablets, etc.
Video Surveillance/IP Cameras
FastLinks offers its customers a wide range of solutions for IP based, video surveillance/monitoring. Both indoor and outdoor IP camera’s with motion sensors and 3x optical zoom capabilities are available, along with storage and management and control software. These devices are plug and play, and can be and managed throughout numerous locations, with no licensing fees.
Wireless Network Services
Feasibility studies are conducted to determine the optimal transmission routes and mediums of wireless communications to best meet all our prospective customer’s connectivity requirements. Our personnel will visit all sites, as well as any other available structures suitable for supporting wireless communications using transmitters/antennas. At each site the following will be evaluated: line of sight, existing LAN, video and/or voice facilities in place (hardware & cable), wireless transmitter/ antenna mount design and location, cable type, length and routing, desired location of indoor hardware, security of the proposed wireless communication setup, and potential for interference with existing wireless communications systems/device.
Topographic Map/Aerial Photography Analysis:
FastLinks can review topographic maps (including US Geological Survey) and aerial photographs to determine the likelihood of line of sight between locations. Potential obstructions will be identified and path profile plots constructed to determine the antenna centerline heights that would be needed to clear any obstructions.
Line Of Site Surveys
Similar to feasibility study, however focusing solely on determining what it would take to establish line of sight between our customers’ facilities.
Path availability will be calculated in order to have an estimate as to the annual outage time due to weather related attenuation one can expect for any proposed wireless system over a specified distance.
At locations that require a tower in order to establish line of sight with others, FastLinks will detail the minimum load (antenna size and height, plus transmission line) the tower will need to support, and work with the major manufacturers to design the appropriate structure.
Frequency Coordination & FCC Licensing
To operate radios in a number of frequency bands requires a FCC license and FastLinks can obtain this license for you. Upon completion, we provide the FCC file numbers.
FastLinks people have overseen the design, coordination and rollout of hundreds of wireless systems.
FastLinks can provide for the turn-key installation of the various wireless systems it offers. This would include cabling, the secure mounting of the wireless transmitters/receivers, grounding, surge protection, path alignment & system testing.
We have the capability to design customized mounts to meet the unique demands of our end users and their property managers.
We’ve done numerous indoor installations when roof rights cannot be attained.
Extended Equipment Warranties
All equipment that is used in the wireless communication system is fully warranted for parts and labor against defects in materials and workmanship at the factory for a period of one year. Extended warranties can also be purchased.
We will make available a systems engineer on-site, for one-day, to train all interested personnel on the operation, maintenance, and trouble-shooting of the proposed system.
We offer three types of telephone support contracts: business hour (M-F, 9am-5pm), extended hour (M-F, 8am-10pm), and 24/7 support 365 days a year.
We will develop maintenance contracts to meet our customer’s specific needs and budgetary constraints. Please contact us for more information.
FastLinks offers on-site support and preventative maintenance for all of the wireless systems it offers. This would include providing factory.
