FastLinks was contracted to install a total of six wireless links to connect two remote buldings to the Hospital’s main campus.
In both cases a 60GHz, GigE (1000Mbps) radio link was deployed to provide the primary data connection, which was backed up by a 5.8GHz 54Mbps 10/100Base-Tx radio link. In addition, a 5.8GHz T1 channel radio link was also deployed to support their voice communications. All of this done for less than $65,000.
FYI – The story of New York Methodist Hospital goes back to the 1880s, when the Rev. James Monroe Buckley, having lost a dear friend in a tragic accident, persuaded the Methodist Church to build a hospital in Brooklyn.
