Pratt-InstituteThe Pratt Institute had a problem. The license-free 10/100BaseT radio links they had in place between the main campus and an off-site facility were constantly freezing up when traffic rates exceeded 20Mbps.

FastLinks solved this problem by installing a level 1, 100BaseTx FSO link that could handle full duplex traffic at rates up to 100Mbps in each direction.

The system was installed within 1 week after receiving an order for less than $10,000.

FYI – On October 17, 1987 (118 years from the date FastLinks installed the FSO link), twelve young people climbed the stairs of the new “Main” building and began to fulfill the dream of Charles Pratt as the first students at Pratt Institute.
